Mikael Brandrup, also known by the artist name Mikael B, is a Danish artist and graphic designer internationally recognized for his energetic, color-intensive works. Born and raised in Denmark, he discovered his passion for graffiti and typography early on, which he combined with studies in graphic design. This blend of urban street art and digital design shaped his unique style, where abstract forms, organic lines, and vibrant colors merge into a visual experience.
After building a successful design agency, Brandrup moved to the USA, where he dedicated himself entirely to fine art. His works are now featured in international galleries and adorn large-scale murals, exhibitions, and art fairs worldwide.
Mikael B perceives his art as a dynamic dialogue between chaos and order— influenced by nature, metropolis, and personal transformation. Known for his expressive “World maps,” he creates a vitality and beauty in his works that are abstract, sensual, and full of passion.
