Comparison without and with varnish

The varnish finish lends your artwork a satin to subtly glossy surface. Colours appear more vivid and saturated, with enhanced contrast and depth. In addition, the varnish provides increased protection against dust, humidity and UV rays. Slight reflections may occur. For artworks with very dark tones, especially those containing a lot of black, we recommend refinement with varnish.

Our stretcher frames feature a crossbar width of approximately 44 mm, ensuring exceptional stability. The frame depth is around 18 mm. For all formats with a side length from 80 cm, your artwork is additionally reinforced with a central support bar.

XXL stretcher frame

For a particularly large and exceptionally stable canvas, we offer the XXL stretcher frame option with a depth of 4 cm. Of course, you may also choose smaller formats with an XXL frame for a distinctive, eye-catching look.

Have your canvas print mounted directly on a genuine stretcher frame – crafted from sturdy, certified wood and supplied with a pre‑assembled cord hanging system.

Prefer to stretch the canvas yourself? Then simply select a sufficiently wide border when placing your order. You will find the “mirror border” option at the very bottom of the border selection. The individual stretcher bars are available in 1 cm increments from 20 to 300 cm directly from our supplier S.M.P., ex stock Hamburg.

Your canvas print is stretched by hand on a genuine stretcher frame made from certified wood – including pre-fitted wedges. This ensures that the canvas remains perfectly taut over time. If the tension should diminish after a while, you can simply tap the wedges gently to tighten the canvas again.
