Rainer Götz was born on June 10, 1952, in Neu-Ulm and grew up in Munich. As a child of half-Jewish parents, he was influenced early on by experiences with language, history, and culture. After completing his high school education, he trained as an interpreter and translator for English and French. Subsequently, he worked for several years as a broadcaster at Bayerischer Rundfunk. In 2003, Rainer Götz turned to visual arts. Since then, he has created works characterized by a subtle balance between abstraction and reality. Inspired by nature, memory, and inner moods, he employs various techniques such as collage and mixed media. His paintings invite quiet contemplation and reflection. Today, Rainer Götz lives and works in Bavaria. His works have been widely exhibited and can be found in private and public collections.
