It's not so important what you see, but how you see it...

My name is Brigitte Kuckenberg-Wagner, I was born in 1948 and live in Solingen.

After studying free painting and graphic design in Cologne, I worked for several years as a graphic designer in the municipal planning department of my hometown and then as a freelance artist.

In the early 90's I discovered Photoshop and digital art fascinated me from the beginning. However, at that time it was still a relatively new medium and the art scene for the most part didn't take it seriously. As the years went by and Photoshop evolved, I finally moved from "analog" painting to photomontage and digital painting. This has allowed me to create fantastic new worlds using parts of my photographs. Digital art opens up incredible and experimental possibilities and so my surreal image worlds developed a style of their own.

After many participations, sometimes very successful, in national and international competitions and also with positive feedback on the web, I can say that I'm on the right track.

Software used: Photoshop CC, Corel Painter
