Brigitte Kuckenberg-Wagner: When Art Redefines Perception

Brigitte Kuckenberg-Wagner, born in 1948, lives in Solingen. After studying fine arts and graphic design in Cologne, she began her career as a graphic designer in her hometown’s urban planning department before transitioning to work as an independent artist.

In the early 1990s, she discovered Photoshop, a tool that instantly captivated her and ignited her passion for digital art. At the time, digital media was still relatively new and often not taken seriously by the art world. Yet, as Photoshop evolved, Brigitte gradually shifted from traditional painting to photomontage and digital painting. This transition allowed her to create fantastic worlds using elements from her own photography, exploring the limitless potential of digital art. Her surreal visual universes have since developed a distinct and personal style.

Today, after numerous successful entries in national and international competitions and positive feedback online, Brigitte Kuckenberg-Wagner is confident she has found her artistic path. Her preferred software includes Photoshop CC and Corel Painter.
